iPac boosts day-to-day operations with successful Made Smarter UK partnership
Gateshead-based sustainable packaging manufacturer iPac has announced a successful partnership with Made Smarter UK through the North East Growth Hub.
This latest collaboration has resulted in the implementation of a new Warehouse Management System (WMS) for the family-owned business, significantly improving its operational efficiency. Through this prosperous partnership with Made Smarter UK, iPac received grant funding and access to expert support which enabled the manufacturer to integrate the new WMS into its existing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
The new WMS incorporates barcoding and traceability features, enabling iPac to better track and manage inventory. This has reportedly resulted in enhanced stock accuracy, improved productivity, and improved communication across departments. The implementation of the new WMS has brought about significant benefits for the growing packaging pioneer. For example, transitioning from the business’s former reliance on Excel to manage its warehouse has reduced the need for manual data entry and freed up employees so that they can instead focus on their core roles.
