Net-Defence supports legal sector with strategic partnerships and insights
Net-Defence, a leading cyber security, IT support and telephony provider based in Gateshead, announces that it has made significant strides in expanding its reach and influence within the legal sector.

Through strong strategic partnerships and the creation of valuable thought leadership content, Net-Defence is empowering law firms and businesses to navigate the challenging and ever-changing online ecosystem. By supporting law firms with robust cyber security and IT measures, the business plays a vital role in supporting the wider community. Law firms are often the first point of contact for individuals and businesses facing legal challenges, and ensuring their operations remain secure and uninterrupted is crucial for guaranteeing this resource is accessible.
At the forefront of this expansion is Net-Defence’s successful partnership with the For Legal platform, part of For Media, which has lasted for two years thus far. This fruitful collaboration has resulted in the creation of informative and accessible webinars specifically designed for businesses within the legal sector. The webinars are accompanied by insightful articles available on the Net-Defence section of the For Legal platform. Additionally, this content has been leveraged in targeted email marketing campaigns to further support and educate law firms and legal professionals.
In 2024, Net-Defence also established an exciting new partnership with Chronicle Law, a prominent legal publication. Through this collaboration, Net-Defence has established itself as a key content creator and thought leader on the Chronicle Law website. They have contributed several valuable pieces of content, including white papers and articles, which have been distributed to the Chronicle Law audience, enhancing awareness of cyber security best practices within the legal community.

The first article, “Introduction to Cyber Security and Cyber Risk,” was published in December 2024, with more content planned for the coming year. This blossoming partnership will see Net-Defence leverage Chronicle Law’s platform to expand its brand awareness and position itself as a trusted advisor in the legal sector. Net-Defence is currently engaged in discussions with local law societies to further drive education and awareness on cyber security issues within the legal community in 2025. The specifics of these collaborations are still under development, but Net-Defence is committed to actively supporting these vital organisations.
Debra Cairns, Managing Director of Net-Defence, commented: “We are thrilled with the progress we’ve made in the legal sector.
